No glamour, no illusion can long hold the man who has set himself the task of treading the razor-edged Path which leads, through the wilderness, through the thick-set forest, through the deep waters of sorrow and distress, through the valley of sacrifice and over the mountains of vision to the gate of Deliverance. He may travel sometimes in the dark (and illusion of darkness is very real ); he may travel sometimes in a light so dazzling and bewildering that he can scarcely see the way ahead; he may know what it is to falter on the Path, and to drop under the fatigue of service and of strife; he may be temporarily side-tracked and wander down the by-paths of ambition, of self-interest and material enchantment, but the lapse will be but brief. Nothing in heaven or hell, on earth or elsewhere can prevent the progress of the man who has awakened to the illusion, who has glimpsed the reality beyond the glamour of the astral plane, and who has heard, even if only once, the clarion call of his own soul. By affirming that I am the creator of the universe I can come into consciousness (eventually) that I am God, the true reality. I am the creator of the universe. I am the father and mother of the universe. Everything came from me. Everything shall return to me. There is no other course. Share and save the world. Fear not! All in time will be renewed. All in time will be returned to light. According to esoterists Jesus was an enlightened and a God realised individual. More than that he was a prophet, the Messiah for the Jews, and the World Teacher for the Age of Pisces, the Age which is now coming to an end. As a God realised being he expressed his unity with God by saying, "I and the Father are one." According to Benjamin Creme Jesus ate fish and goat's cheese and most of his disciples were fishermen who later became the 'fishers of men' showing his association with the Piscean symbol fish. In addition he provided his body as the vehicle for the Christ to manifest and therefore known as Jesus Christ. According to Creme Jesus was born in the year 24 BC and was named Jeshu Ben Pandira. He demonstrated the five expansions of consciousness, which makes a man an enlightened Master by symbolically going through each of them. His birth in Bethlehem symbolised the first initiation, the birth of Christ in the cave of the human heart. His baptism in the Jordan River by John the Baptist symbolised the second initiation during which the Christ consciousness descended on him in the form of a dove, entered his body and stayed with him until his crucifixion. His transfiguration symbolised the third initiation, while his crucifixion symbolised the fourth initiation, which is known as great renunciation in the east. His resurrection symbolised the 5th initiation. His ascension to heaven symbolised the ascension (6th) initiation. Jesus was raised from the dead by his teacher the Christ who entered his body 3 days after his death. Jesus was no longer in that body and it was the Christ whose personal name Lord Maitreya who lived in that body for the 41 days after the resurrection. This symbolised the fifth initiation the resurrection initiation. When Christ entered the body of Jesus after his death the light of the Christ created an image of Jesus similar to that of a photographic negative on the burial cloth of Jesus that is still visible on the Turin Shroud which is the authentic burial cloth of Jesus. The Christ is an immortal being transcending all laws of nature and it is not possible for anyone to crucify or kill the Christ. They killed his disciple Jesus through whom the Christ was speaking by crucifying him. Jesus was born as a third degree initiate and he achieved the fourth initiation on the cross. Using the body of a disciple as a vehicle (overshadowing) is the age-old way of manifestation for the teacher of a particular Age. Lord Maitreya has manifested in the same way through Krishna, Sankarachariya, Caitanya, Bahaullah (Founder of Bahai faith), and more recently through Jeddu Krishnamurthi. Five hundred years before Jesus, Buddha, the World Teacher for the Age of Aries, who embodies the Wisdom aspect of God (Wisdom Principle), manifested through his disciple Prince Siddhartha, who became known as Gautama Buddha. In the same way Jesus spoke through his disciple Mohammed. Under the law of rebirth he was born again as Apollonius of Tyana and in this life he achieved the fifth initiation and became a Master of Wisdom. As Apollonius he travelled to Northern India where he died and was buried there. The controversy that Jesus did not die on the cross stem from this story. Another myth is the doctrine of atonement where Jesus is supposed to have paid for the sins of all humanity through his death on the cross as a form of sacrifice. This is a concept borrowed from the old Jewish religion where God was portrayed as a vengeful, bloodthirsty being who is demanding human blood sacrifice to forgive our sins. This is the teaching for the Age of Aries (The Age of the scapegoat) where the sacrifice of an innocent animal, child or man is supposed to pay for the sins of others. Jesus was that scapegoat who is supposed to have paid for the sins of all the future generations. This is contrary to the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament where God is portrayed as Love. Leaving these myths aside he was one of the greatest of the spiritual teachers in history, adored by billions of followers all over the world. The Bible gives very profound teachings of symbolic nature and the problems are caused by its interpretation. Jesus is now a very advanced Master, a sixth degree initiate or an Ascended Master and head of the 6th Ray (Idealism and Devotion) Ashram. There are very few Ascended Masters living in the world today and he is one of them. Jesus with his mother Madonna are Masters in the 6th Ray (Idealism and Devotion) Ashram. Three religions of the Western hemisphere, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are inspired by the energy of the 6th ray. According to Benjamin Creme in his present incarnation Jesus was born in Syria over 500 years ago and therefore he is more than 500 years old and he lives in a human body made of flesh and blood in the outskirts of Rome in Italy. According to Mr Creme he has been living in Rome since 1984. His age is young for a Master of Wisdom some of whom are thousands of years old. Eventually when Lord Maitreya, who is presently living in London, UK declares himself as the Christ and the World Teacher for the Age of Aquarius, Jesus will present himself as his disciple. Then people will probably have the opportunity to ask Jesus whether he is the one and only Son of God to which he will probably chuckle and say that such a person does not exist anywhere in the universe. Jesus may take over the throne of St Peter after the death of the present Pope and true apostolic succession may start again. Since his birth in Palestine Jesus has continued to live and work on earth as a man and a Master of Wisdom. He has lived with and taught the native Indians of South America in the sixth and seventh centuries and the people of the islands of Polynesia. He has written many books and one of his most notable works is the Muslim holy book the Koran that he dictated through Mohammed, though Mohammed believed it to be the work of Archangel Gabriel. Jesus inspired Communism and Socialism and Karl Marx and Lenin were his disciples. His social concerns were expressed in his statement that for a rich man to go to heaven is like for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. In modern terms it means that it will not be possible for people in the developed world who are comparatively rich compared to people in the third world to go to heaven until they share the resources of the world with their brothers in the third world and improve the living standards in the third world so that people do not die of starvation and preventable and curable diseases. Everyone should have food to eat, basic health care, education and housing as a universal right. In more recent times he dictated through one of his disciples a book titled 'A Course in Miracles' which was written by an American Psychologist Dr Helen Schucman and published in 1975 by the Foundation for Inner Peace. Around 1991 Jesus appeared to Glenda Green, an internationally recognised portrait painter and art historian. In 1989, her husband had a dream that Glenda was to paint a portrait of Jesus Christ. Two years later when she started to paint the portrait of Jesus, he appeared to her and she has written a book titled "Love Without End: Jesus Speaks" describing her experiences. In 2003, at the age of eight, American artistic prodigy Akiane Kramarik painted a portrait which she calls 'Prince of Peace'. After prayers Jesus came to her as the model for her painting. On her website she explains how the painting came about. There are many thousands of experiences of vast numbers of ordinary people where Jesus has appeared to them using many different disguises and saved them from an impending disaster or accident or healed them or consoled them when they were distressed. He is one of the most important Masters for the West and he is in Charge of all the Christian Churches wherever they are to be found. He has a group of three Masters working under him in South America and others in North America and Canada.
